I was digging through some unfiled misc. coins and ran across this dime I had bought years ago in a mixed lot of coins. Looks to have been harshly cleaned but was curious of the grade short of the cleaning. After looking up some facts, it would appear to be the most common of this series too with 1835 being the most populus.   -makecents-

She has managed to have some decent circulation cameo, which may indicate older cleaning.  I am between G and VG here.

Thanks, jbuck. Yeah, I was thinking the same about the circulated cameo look. I like the soft silver high points with the darker background on the circulated silver coins, I've had some Morgans over the years that had a similar look.

f12 obverse, vg8 reverse, vg10 net. Could straight grade in spite of the obverse wipe marks which seem minor especially at this grade.

I'm with NS, net VG10
as for the surfaces, looking close at those hairlines they appear to be brighter than the toning under them leading me to believe that it had a a real old cleaning, re-toned and the those swipe marks occurred post cleaning. this would yield a details designation if thats the case
