Going to an auction on July 4th. They have a bunch of "Bank Sets" as well as other goodies of numismatic interest.Does anyone know of these bank sets? I have never seen nor heard of such a thing before, and I have been collecting off and on for nearly 30 years. Any info would be greatly appreciated. IE...... what dates should I bid on, how high should bidding go, ect...ect. One word of warning! The people go to this particular action will bid up the price of a severely scratched and dented 64 Kennedy half to around 7 or 8 bucks just because it is silver. I have seen badly damaged 1921 Morgans go for $26 at this Auction House before.

What I know a bank set as in terms of coins was a plastic case with the current year coins and the banks name printed on the case, given out when the bank first opened

Thanks, I guess value would be based on what ever AU/BU coins of that date are going for.
