I was wondering if any one here has bought one from a Hong Kong seller and if so how was the transaction? Did it take a long time to receive? How was the scope you received? http://cgi.ebay.com/1-3-Mega-Pixel-...om_W0QQitemZ180368652813QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item29fecf3a0d&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65:12%7C66:2%7C39:1%7C72:1205%7C293:1%7C294:50

I bought one from Hong Kong off ebay, different seller though and slightly different model (mine had a different stand) but seems very good quality, works great, shipping took about ten days. Instructions were pretty worthless however.
Rest in Peace

I'm not sure I'd pull the trigger on this one - the seller has received 7 Negatives since the end of May for the microscopes he's offering.

With that said, there's no reason why you can't get good bang for the buck with a digital microscope, as long as you know what you're going to get. Field of view will be extremely limited above 10x, and anything over 60x is of very limited value in a numismatic sense. Optics are very much an arena where you get what you pay for. I'm quite satisfied with the performance I get from my QX5 for the money, but I have to massage the results pretty heavily to achieve images worth publishing here at CCF.

One potential target from a rather more reputable seller:

Another possibility:

The first one with shipping is almost as much as the second one that comes with free shipping. The third one is just a few $s more
I like my QX5 but am still looking for the "better model"

I bought the model in question from a different seller from China. The only problem with the transaction was that there were no instructions and I couldn't get the software to load. But I was able to get it to work using existing software on my computer. I wouldn't buy one again. This picture was taken with it.

Celestron Makes a good product (first one superdave listed). They also make very nice telescopes. Thats another hobby of mine and my telescope is a celestron. Good brand.
