In discussing Lincoln cents, I prefer the Lincoln wheaties over the LMC and the new 2009 designs. In my opinion, the two wheat stalks on the reverse make the Wheatie cents the best looking of all the Lincoln cents.

I'm curious to know if collector's prefer Wheaties, LMC, or the new 2009 design.

But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I prefer the Wheat cent over the other designs. It's one of my favorite coins. The memorial design is fine, but the new Lincoln Cent designs are ugly (Just like all the other new designs they're coming out with).

I agree Rollhunter1994 - I'm not crazy about the 2009 designs either. There's something about the LMC's that are just boring to me.

I keep collecting wheaties and I think I have a few thousand so far.

Wheaties all the way. In it's simplicity, the design of the first 50 years of the Lincoln Cent is one of the most attractive that America has ever produced.

Definitely wheaties...there is just something about the simplicity of the reverse that makes it a great looking coin.

I prefer the Wheaties. If you think the other Lincolns are bad wait till the proposed 2010's come out .

I think the new ones are dreadful.

Wheat Cents. It's a simple but very classic design. The new ones are interesting, but I'm not huge on coins that look like they have cartoons on them.

I like the wheatie ones better than any other. The new penny designs, and this goes for a lot of newer designs are too cartoonish for my liking. I like the old fashioned wheaties.

I like the wheats. When it comes to good coin designs, less is more and the new ones have too much going on. That said, don't overdo it and end up with the wyoming quarter.

I think it will be unanimous for the Wheat design. However, I really do enjoy the Memorial design and have developed an appreciation of it.
