To all you roll hunters, what method do you use to re-roll your coins?
1. Hand count and put into wrapper
2. Use coin tubes that hold the amount of coins per roll.
3. Use an electric sorter and counter that puts the coins into the wrapper.

I just dump them off like sacks of potatoes at the bank.
I have a large counter, I batch them by 5000 and stack them like firewood until I make a deposit.

:( What banks? Cali banks don't have courtesy counters :(
So... I have the fun of getting a 50c mold, scooping up a bunch, and then rerolling them.

I used to hand count them. It takes FOREVER to hand count two boxes of cents. Now I fill a plastic tube that holds exactly 50¢ in it, then I fill up a paper roll with the 50¢. Its A LOT quicker.

Coinstar typically hits you for 8 or 9 cents on the dollar

You want the actual branch locations I go to?
I have accounts with several different banks but what is more important is to open a busniess account. Fargo, and Bank of America both offer these services for dropping off coinage in large bulk.
The business account is what lets you just dump everything off in bags. They never even check the contents. I imagine down the road if there were an issue they do have my info and access to my account to make a correction if needed. But has never happened.
Another important factor to having everything smooth with your relationship at the bank is to mind your self when picking up or dropping off. You dont have to go out of your way , but dont drop off bags with duct tape covering holes or sloppy written displays. Dont try walking in with a wheel barrow and make a fool of yourself.
A small handtruck like the ones used for luggage is best. Stack 6 bags per trip and you can be in and out without causing a scene or making the bank regret having you for a customer. 4-6 bags is a clean and stable stack that should accomodate enough roll searching volume for most anyone.

oh... so you have the business account? That's why it's free. Otherwise, it's $8

The banks here have courtesy counters that aren't run by tellers. Thus it is really easy to dump massive amounts of coins, take the receipt, and hand it to the teller.

I hand count and put into wrapper, I go through about ten rolls a day so it's no big deal to wrap the rejects. I put all the coppers loose in the box that the rolls come in until I have 2500 in it then close it up and put it away. John1

BOFA gives me plastic bags for bulk dumping of coins. Personal account (not business), but I am a regular customer at that branch.
