Just curious, does anyone know what the face value of the Eliasburg collection was.

a lot.

considering that he had very coin, including all of the gold, just the $20 alone, I quickly counted, not including all varieties, is about #185 pieces, so $20 X 185 = $3,700.

And the 410 eagle was around for a lot longer.

He invested around 4 million and it sold in three sales, one 1982, 1996, and 1997 for a total of 44 million. Ed lee who owns the 1913 Liberty nickel from the collection estimates the whole collection would be worth more than 100 million today.
