I also see now that mine was generously awarded a VF-35. (However, I still like it!) But I see now that my estimation of it being close to XF was a bit optimistic. Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6385 Posts	Posted 07/25/2009 10:28 pm One more reference point: this 1900 half is graded EF-40 in another very old, small ANACS holder. This one IMO is properly graded. Since it has only a trace of luster in the protected areas I don't think it could qualify as a possible EF-45. I don't plan to re-submit the 1894-S at this point. I really do think that the large dark spot on the reverse contributed to the conservative grade. Maybe I'll give it a shot if I ever need another candidate to round out an "Economy" submission for PCGS. Thanks for the comments! Report this Post to the Staff
