Question About Lincoln's In The 2009/Clad/Silver Proof Sets

crain300 Valued Member United States 204 Posts	Posted 07/29/2009 9:14 pm i have gotten 2 silver sets and I am very happy with 4 cents designs in the silver they are made out the material original Lincoln's the 2009 clad set used bronze for their designs should I get a clad set just to get the bronze, or will the ones in the silver sets hold their value better need advice from a more experienced collector as I am new and all help greatly appreciated Report this Post to the Staff

The Silver Proof Set Lincolns and the Proof Set Lincolns are indeed identical composition. As to which Set might be worth more.....well.....who knows, but the Silver Sets usually cost more for obvious reasons. The Uncirculated Mint Set will have 95% Coppers as well....FYI. KenKat Pillar of the Community United States 4085 Posts	Posted 07/30/2009 12:22 pm Not sure if this is what you are asking, but not all of the coins in the Silver Proof Set are made of silver. Only the quarters, dime, and half are silver. The dollars, nickel, and cents are standard composition and thus are identical between the two sets (Clad and Silver).
