i wanna know how much Microsoft stock did you buy when it was $0.35 a share? Everytime I click on something you are showing it is just down right beautiful so I know you have to be some multimillionaire sitting in some condo drinking a maiti somewhere. Heck I couldn't even afford your leftovers

Very nice. I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of Trade dollars, but that one is awesome. Again, very nice.

hhbkiddo, only proofs were minted from 1879-1885; the Morgan dollar started in 1878. 979 were minted in 1883, then only 10 and 5 pieces each for 1884 and 1885 respectively! So it is truly a rare piece of history.

I'm one who likes Trade dollars, especially in proof format. Maybe one day I'll spring for a nice proof. You didn't ask for grade opinions, but I'll take a shot. There are quite a few fine hairlines on both sides, nothing too severe but enough to preclude a gem grade IMO. The grading services tend to be more strict with proofs than MS coins when assessing surface imperfections. There is enough contrast to warrant a Cameo designation. So, overall PR-63 CAM. Did I mention it's a beautiful coin? It is!

Nah, that would be the value of an 1884 or 1885(well, maybe the entire model line of Mercedes or Porsche...) an 1883 in PR-63CAM would be a $3-4000 coin

<<maybe I should start looking at US top coins for investments?>> I would recomend collecting what one likes and avoid the investment perspective. You'll get a lot more fun out of the hobbie.
