i purchased this coin this week at a pawn shop, for $.50. after reading some online information I believe this is a 1913 type I buffalo (indian head) nickel. my intention was to try to restore the date, by soaking in vinegar. that may not be necessary, if someone can confirm - or refute. this is a scan image and not a photograph. either way, the intent was to try restoring the date. thanks.
