What I find strange is that the syllables are separated by hyphens. May make sense in a school book, but on a medal or button ...

I know this is an old post but I want to mention something about this coin.

Tonight I was spending some time with my grandmother and coins got brought up. My grandfather collected for many many years and I just recently started. She excussed herself for a minute and brought me a small box with some cois in it that were my grandfathers. One of them was this coin. The face had been worn down to just an outline but all text was very clear.

I believe this is the one that she started to tell me about. She said there was one in there that looks kind of like a large US Penny. She told me it is a coin given when a person becomes a full member of the Free Masons. I plan on stopping by the local Mason lodge tomorrow to ask them about it. I will update you all when I get more info.

UPDATE: I found this link, maybe it can help until I can talk to a mason and see what they can tell me
