This coin has been graded by PCGS as a Mint State. The pictures do not show the luster, which glows and cartwheels beneath the toning. What's the score?

My opinion of the coin as irrelevant as it is ,, is MS-63,, with this in mind ,, this is another of the most weakly struck coins that have ever been produced,, and taken into consideration the coin probly graded at a 64,

Im wondering if this coin was slabbed toned as it appears today ? if so then eye appeal would have to play a part, the coffee stained toning does nothing for me on this coin.

I know that some folks like this effect and the above statement is entirely a personal opinion,, and is not meant to offend anyone !!

Looks to me like a 63 but they probably graded 64.

The coin is slabbed as MS64 by PCGS. The tone is actually nicer than the pix show. The reverse is very nice. That said, I bought this from photos and was a little disappointed with the toning. It's okay, but it WILL be replaced in my series set.

Rick: I was looking at the pix and see what you mean by "coffee stained toning." Although you still may not like it, it's actually much redder than it looks, the colors range from gold to rose-pink, it has abundant luster and the contrast between the golden rims and the red dominated reverse toning looks like a subtly stunning sunset. You certainly didn't offend me and, if I can, I'll post different photos of the same coin if anybody's interested. You'd still be allowed not to like it
