I've been going through my slabbed coins that I think might receive an upgrade at the Philadelphia Expo.
Do you think this 1904 Double Eagle could receive a possible upgrade from an MS 63 to a 64?

Unfortunately, I don't think so.

The reverse looks real nice, but it looks like the big bagmark on the cheek probably kept it out of a 64 holder.

Still a very nice coin at MS-63.

I agree, it's probably not going to upgrade. The dark scuffs in the fields plus the cheek mark and that toning spot by Star 12 are pretty noticeable and will limit the grade. It looks to me like MS-63 is correct for this example.

I agree also, its a good 63 but be a horrible 64. there are to many hits for a good 64 and the only way it would make that grade would be if the graders overgraded it. I would rather have a nice 63 coin than horrible 64
