For anyone out there who searches quarter rolls, I was wondering what your find rate is for bicentennial quarters? I know they aren't worth more than face value but I always hold on to them if they turn up in my pocket change. It seems that quite a few others that I know do the same so I am just curious to know how many you can still find out there in boxes, rolls, etc.

I just find a few here and there in general circulation, last year I released a little over 800 of them into circulation...so I know there are atleast 800 out there.

https://goccf.com/t/47181 Here is a post from a couple months ago called "Demon Quarter". Apparently some people were finding alot of them back then. I don't run across too many of them nowadays. I emptied out my quarter slot machine tonight and out of $40.00 there was only one bicentennial (and the machine has been in storage since 2003).

I pluck them out of circulation when I get them, but I don't actively roll hunt for them. I only have about 7 or 8. I haven't found too many and I use cash everyday to make purchases.

_22_:

Look very close at the the 1776-1976 D mint Bi- Centennial.

There is a very rare and expensive DDO on this coin. (Doubling on the words LIBERTY!)

I've found five of them in change since August 1st.
Two are Philadelphia Mint, which is unusual.
Usually here in Denver, '76 Denver Quarters outnumber the '76
Philadelphia Quarters in circulation by a 10-to-1 or higher ratio.
