I've noticed a lot of people complain about the QX not working with Vista. When I updated to Vista, I emailed Digital Blue about it not working. They emailed me back a patch to download and all worked fine. What did they do, just get tired of sending this patch out?

MorgansRmineDo you still have the link or file? This is for the QX3 right? If you have a patch available, I sure would rather use my vista PC with the QX3. Maybe you can help me out? Atlas, I have your CD on the counter addressed to you with a stamp on it ready to go. Now I wonder if you need it or not?

Wheezy, no, I have the QX5. They are no good on taking pictures of the whole coin, but if you get it up and running, and play with it you'll get great close ups of them 5 cent pieces. Sorry.

Thanks MorgansRmine, I'll see how atlas makes out. The CD went yesterday. I knew it wouldn't get the whole coin but it is great looking for doubled dies and rpm's.

Hey Wheezy I just received the software. I downloaded it and it works perfect, the only thing is trying to play with the microscope to get some good close ups. I am having problems with the glare of the light. I did not have any problems with downloading the software. I am going to make a copy and I will send it back. I thank you and I will make you a extra copy of the software if you want one. I don't have Vista but I have Windows XP.

I have XP on my second PC but I have to switch hard drives as I am running Ubuntu Linux on it right now. I have to get a tow truck to yank it out off my desk to open the side and switch wiring inside. I am thoroughly pleased that it worked for you atlas, glad I could help. If you would, an extra copy might be great in case we have somebody else someday needs one.

Looks like youmguys got the QX3 going. That is great. I just ran into this thread, or I would have posted before. I have the QX3, and run XP. I also keep win98SE on a HDD, for some of the older equipment. Just install it as a slave, and set the booting in the bios, or usa a dual-boot menu. I have styayed clear of Vista, because it had ttoo mant bugs. I will try windows 7, later on, but will keep my HDD with XP. "A bird in the hand",.... you know jhow that goes. BTW, if you have trouble with the focus, I have an idea that might help. You need a scope with the removable head, so an adaptor ring will fit in it's place. Then the focus will be SmOOOOth! If I had been sooner, I could have burned you a CD, but it seems to be taken care of, so.... Dick

I wish I had seen this thread sooner, I had the same problem with the QX3 about a year ago and found the upgrade for it and ran it with vista in compatibility mode. If anyone still has a problem let me know and I can send you the upgrade.
