I just recently purchased a digital blue microscope QX3 for cheap but it did not come with software. I was wondering if anyone on here had tried to download any software online for there microscopes and had success with it?

Hey I bought one too. Won't work with Vista but I do have a hard drive with XP on it in PC number 2 over here. The good thing is I have your software, bad news is I am lousy at burning discs with vista.
If you have vista, I am afraid we are out of luck.
I will mail you my disc if you promise to mail it back. You copy it. Then me and you can figure this gadget out together, whadda ya say?

Wheezydog, That would be awesome. I looked the software up on their web site and it was 20 bucks for the upgraded version. I still have windows xp.

if you would like I could make a iso of my disc and then find someway to send it to you. I could winrar it and split it up into sections if I have to like we used to do with newsgroups. mine is for the QX-5 but its probably the same thing
Edit: I made the iso and its 220MB

Well at the moment, I am trying to upload 4 files into a folder on my ISP webspace. Stand by.
UPDATE: It seems the exe files are not allowed on my ISP webspace.
We'll have to use snail mail.

Maybe QX5 would work with Vista? I could use that myself. All hands on deck. We're here to help either way. Thanks Bryan

My disc had 2 files on it and two folders
QX3Plus quick start manual LiveVid activity manual
UPDATE: I just made a zip file says it's 72MB ready to email if that will work.
another UPDATE: I tried mailing it to myself and it is large, but it appeared it would make the trip. It was still sending when I cancelled it but I can send it out I suppose if you want to try that.

I have sent it to you atlas via email, it will be awhile. Gotta get up at 5:15 and take a 140 kids to school. G-nite. If you get it double click on the QX3+ file and it should begin installation. It's only 1/4 the way out so far here but moving in progress bar. If you get it let me know, if not, I will mail you the disc. I have your address.

coinsrfun I use the qx5 and my system uses QX 5. I spent an hour with their tech dept and they finally got it to work. I don't remember what they said...it was about a year ago.

Here's the download site for updating QX3 software to WinXP compatibility: http://www.intel.com/support/intelp...S-016015.htmIt's a 94MB download; although Intel calls it an "update," I suspect it's the full Monte. With XP-compatible software, it should be possible to make it work with Vista by forcing XP compatibility during the install process. If anyone needs instructions on how to do that, just post here.

SuperDave is correct!! The fix I got from the QX5 tech was...it work with Vista by forcing XP compatibility during the install process
