I've been looking for a nice 1913 Lincoln Cent to upgrade my circulated set. This coin is surprisingly expensive in grades at or above VF. I've been outbid repeatedly on ebay auctions for this date, until now. The seller also offered a nice 1911 which would also be an upgrade for me so I bid on it as well. Maybe all the other bidders went on Labor Day vacation, but for whatever reason I won both coins. For a total cost of about $7 I think I scored. I would appreciate your grades and comments!

On the 1913 I'm going to say EF-40.
Because of the wear on the obverse of the 1911 I'm going to say F-15.

I think you got a real nice deal for $7 bucks.

I'll agree on the 1913 as EF-40.
I'll give the 1911 VF-20

Two nice early coins.

I'd say the 1913 is EF-40
and the 1911 is VF-25 to VF-30

Good buy!

You scored indeed.

The 1913 is well struck and close to AU50. EF45 anyway. The obverse rim ding stands out due to the size of your images; I don't think it would be bad enough to keep it from grading. A $15 coin to me.

The 1911 is not as well struck but still has a shot at VF30. It has original color and no damage. I'd say VF25 for sure. Worth about $5.

Good buys!

1913 is EF-45/AU-50. I'd lean toward the higher grade is there's some luster under the brown. CDN puts AU @ $25 ask.

1911 is VF-25, about a $2 coin.

For $7 you did VERY well.

EDIT- Great job with the pictures!
