I have wondered with getting a Coin magazine (CoinValues, Coinage, Coins, Coin World ect.) subscription sent to your home...Is the magazine open so the mail man or passerby who peaks into your box can see that you receive coin publications or are they in a plastic wrapper where you cannot identify it as a coin magazine?

I have never had a subscription, I just pick them up at the bookstore, I have always been paranoid that someone might keep my address off of the magazine at the post office and do some late night reconnaissance on my home (break in).

So I was thinking of getting the online version of Coin World, Coin Values, Paper Money Values, World Coin Values for the $10 per year to avoid that opportunity.

What is you guys experience?

Good Question!?

I just finished reading the post about the stolen collection and am re-thinking all of my actions and movements related to my coins. I like to read various coin related books at lunch and other available times but am becoming more conscious of that.

I subscribe to Coin World, Coin Values, along with The Celator, etc.. All are open to public viewing. Never really gave it much thought until now.

I've never ordered coin magazines for that very same reason. If I feel the urge to read one I'll buy one. There's always new articles and information somewhere on the internet to be found, that I rarely buy them anymore.

I guess I should cancel my subscription to "How to bury valuable things in shallow marked holes in your backyard monthly".
Rest in Peace

I subscribe on-line to Coin World for $10.00, and then get several other coin publications as well.

That's the only way I'll go in the future.

If you are careful, and you can NEVER be too careful, have your mail sent to a P O Box, never to your home.
I too have changed how I do things over the years to avoid any unforeseen problems, remember we collect what everyone wants, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, The more who know, the more your chances are of a "problem" visiting you!!
Failure to prepare is preparing to fail!!
