Unfortunately, to get a VG, you have to be able to see some WE in the motto. I don't see any. (Maybe you can in hand). So, I'm with Echizento, this coin isn't a VG, so we're at G-6. Still very nice!

The WE doesn't necessarily have to be there because of a poor striking (such as 1872's). The coin exhibits basically full rims and a very strong VG reverse...not a VG10 but I don't agree with G6 just because of the WE.

Before I read everyone's comments, the images said VG-8 to me. Isn't the 1869 a better date?

What Prethen said. I agree 100%. Yes wheezydog 1869 is a better date though still fairly common in this grade.

Info for all: Two Cent Piece General Grading StandardsG4 Good - At least IN GOD visible. VG8 Very Good - WE weakly visible. F12 Fine - Complete motto visible. WE weak. EF40 Extremely Fine - WE is bold. AU50 About Uncirculated - Leaf tips, arrow points, and the word WE show trace of wear. MS60 Uncirculated - No trace of wear. Light blemishes. MS63 Select Uncirculated - Some distracting contact marks or blemishes in prime focal areas. Luster may be impaired. I do agree there can be exceptions for weak strikes. However, this appears to me to be honest wear from circulation and I'll stick with my original G6 assessment. Still a very nice coin with wonderful color!

Moe145: That WE didn't quite just wear off. Notice the horizontal lines in the shield how there's an area that appears more "worn". That area was never fully struck up (much like many Shield nickels...think 1871 as an example here). I realize we're splitting hairs between G6 and VG8, but my guess is that the services would holder this as a VG coin.
