andoyan62- Very nice! That appears to be a French 20 Frank gold coin from 1865 that was minted in Paris. According to my Krause, where it is KM#801.8, it should be 90% gold and 6.4516 grams. I must admit that I am no expert in this type of coin, so I cannot offer any guesses as to whether it is genuine or not. My Krause says that in Unc it is worth $140, which may or may not be above its current bullion value. For some reason French coins really are under-appreciated and values often reflect that.

Was this coin mounted? I ask because there is an off-color spot above Napoleon's head. If so, BV is the best that you can hope for. Krause also lists this coin as BV for anything below UNC. The funny thing is that BV is the same value given for an UNC coin.

Andoyan 62, nice to see you on the forum.
Need to weigh it to start with to see if it is real. It is pretty much BV coin since the 20 frs are plentiful. If real they bring about $210 on ebay which is pretty much gold value with gold at $1000.
