I'll wait until my dealer gets them in and will just buy me a couple from him.

The nickels and dimes from the set are selling well on ebay. Interestingly I have not seen any Buy-It-Now listings for these single coins. Everyone is going auction style.

Ordered a set yesterday online from the mint. Really, I wanted to set up an account for the release on Oct 15th and this was just a good excuse.

I don't think the set is worth the price. I only want the cents and the nickels and dimes. I don't care for the satin finish and I don't want anything to do with the prez dollars.

I stick with the proof sets. These seem too expensive.

I just ordered two sets, but I still need that darn business strike 2009 D nickel!
Satin Finish does not count for this guy.
I already pre-ordered a pair of Jeffersons from an ebay seller. Kind of wish I would have waited.

I wonder, how do these coins affect mintage numbers?
Is there two mintage numbers for each coin? For example. 2009 P Jefferson Business strike mintage is 39.84 Million.
Does this include the Satin Finish 2009 P nickels in the mint sets?

wheezy "Does this include the Satin Finish 2009 P nickels in the mint sets?"

No, that mintage number is only for the business strikes.

Quote:
U.S. Mint: These numbers do not include the "proof" or "uncirculated" quality (i.e. UNC sets) coins produced by the Mint.

Thanks for the clarification DNA
I guess we need to wait and see how many mint sets were produced which can take a year or so huh?
Very good! I need to have 5 coins every year just for my Jefferson collection as they are different from each other in mintage figures as well as being totally different coins from the business strikes.

Where oh where can my 2009 D Jefferson business strike be? It's October and I have not seen one 2009 coin in making change except for quarters! No 2009 Lincolns and no 2009 Jefferson's yet!

I have preordered 2 sets. I do agree that they do seem pretty spendy though

You guys think it is expensive for all those coins? Check out the Aussie sets, and yes, there are only 6 coins TOTAL.

I ordered 2 sets back in August on the Subscription plan.

I just checked with the US Mint again yesterday as they just charged my CC card for the Subscription, so , according to them its being prepared for shipping.

Hopefully, they will arrive in the next week or so!
