Hello, found this 1976 JFK Half in a bank roll. Is this a proof. Proof like, a DMPL or something someone dipped? This coin has no mint mark so it is a Philadelphia coin. This is not a silver coin either.
I would appreciate all of your comments.
(Look at the reflection on the picture with the dice on it.)

To me it looks like it took a polishing of some sorts!

I just found a site that said that there were 4 proofs struck without a mint mark.

What sight? I still think this coin looks more polished than proof. Although I must admit I've had a few half dollars catch my eye roll searching that looked proof and ended up not being Some were just incredible strikes and others were just polished.

It has been buffed to a high gloss, there is a telltale "halo" around all devices.

It looks polished to me. Whoever buffed it did a good job in that it doesn't have directionality. And it didn't have a lot of wear before the polishing.

I agree, polished. There's no frost whatever on the devices.
