Poll Question
I have checked toady and silver is around $17.75, which led me to ask, when will silver next hit a full US$20/toz?

I don't know Toady, but my pal Froggy says to get silver now because it's on the rise! (He figures it will be end of October or early November)

My estimate, not this year, or next. Hope I'm wrong, but I've seen too many people get hyped on these rises in silver and then lose their...umm...let's say donkey.

I voted early next year. I would dump at $40.00 personally. That has been a good number the last time it happened in the late 70's. Then Silver went way way way down. They are still mining silver, I think there is plenty in the ground. I wonder if common coins get melted or if they just get passed around in bulk rolls and bags when this happens? If they do melt them, some of the very high mintage silver content coins might be under rated as far as availability goes when the price comes back down again. I think I would hang onto some of the common high grade War nicks, Roosevelt and Washington quarters. Probably unc 1964 and 40% Kennedy's will be harder to find as well.

It really depends on what the dollar does during that period. I said next year some time.

I definitely think silver will break the $20.00 mark sometime in January.

When I went to my Coin Club's Meeting several days ago, A man there told me that Silver would go up to around $18 Dollars. If silver goes to $20 and beyond, I will sell some bulk.

I think I will hold on to my 40% JFKs and 35% nickels until $25, but I intend to keep the 90% coins for a long time.

Did you get above spot after factoring in shipping and feepal and ebay's cut?

Oh..Nod... I just looked at the final value fee For a final value of $207.50 I was charged $18.16 final value fee! Plus $6.50 paypal fee. That is INSANE! I didn't realize how much I was paying in fees (They must of tripled since I last looked at them), no wonder BIN prices have increased on eaby! In the end I netted $182 which is a little above spot. I had the same coins for sale here on the forum for 3 months my price was $185 shipped and they didn't sell. So I guess I ended up getting that price on ebay after fees. $20 in fees for a $200 listing. That is CRAZY!

The insertion fee was "FREE", (I started it at $.99 with no reserve.) I guess they can pass up on the $.35 insertion fee when charging out the roof on final value. I guess selling a double eagle would cost you close to $150 in final value fees!!

I hope it doesn't hit $20 until after April. I would be screwed if it was before since I can't do anything with my silver since I'm in Iraq and everything I have is back home! I would happily dump everything I have, which isn't terribly much, but around $100 face and about 10 ounces bullion.
