That actually got bids..

He has a couple more up, too. Another seller has one up and is using the first guy's picture! (or vice-versa)

The direction of the lettering is fairly random so while yes it is upside down lettering it does not make it a special coin. The Sales Blurb implies it is. However I am with scubu on this he is not breaking any rules just playing on the greed of the uninformed.

The uninformed don't know that the 2007-up business strike Golden
Dollars with edge lettering are commonly produced in either possible
lettering orientation.

Type 1 = 'right side up' lettering with obverse side facing upward
Type 2 = 'upside down' lettering with obverse side facing upward

PCGS calls the Type 2 'Position A' and the Type 1 'Position B'.

Indeed. While technically not an incorrect statement at all, and I could see someone having one and wanting the other to have both position A and B, stating "upside down" but not clarifying facts about the lettering positions being random implies it is different than normal and therefore desirable/collectible.

Splitting hairs, I know

Still, the guy is selling a $1 coin for $2.49 with free shipping and that's better than I could do, especially if the coin is really uncirculated.
Rest in Peace

He's selling a legitimate well recognized BU variety, perfectly described, for a few bucks. Nothing wrong here whatsoever. Geez.

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong here either. I personally would not buy this coin.
