Sounds fishy because the majority of these coins from China are counterfeits. I agree with you TLS.

I agree, the coin appears real.
But with the cheap price, probably around $30 US... hard to say. The other coin they are selling is not a high dollar coin. Hard to say.

He has two of the 1879 CC Morgans on on auction and the other is buy it now for $1.87 and about $28.00 shipping. I just find it odd someone in China has two of the most valuable Morgans. And he will sell them for under $2.00. The picture for both CC Morgans look the same.

I would have to agree with the others on this one, simply too many fakes coming out of China right now.

"Gee Grandma...what sharp teeth you have?"
Instead of approaching a seller from China a la Red Riding Hood, as Cisco stated:
"THINK"
For the love of Pete, NEVER buy any coins from the far East...NEVER, EVER! I don't care how good their pics look because that is all they are is PICS.
"THINK"

Take the money and buy the coins, or go to Vegas and put it in the slot machines.... I think you got a little better odds in Vegas....

It's counterfeit. I have one just like it that I use as a teaching tool; it's also from China but didn't cost me anything (sent by a friend in Singapore). A better image would show the sand cast marks. In hand, it would appear OK at a very casual glance, but a second look would show the cast marks without the use of a loupe. It's made of a lead or pewter metal and would weigh about 380 grains; an authentic WELL-CIRCULATED (G-06) 79CC weighs about 398 grains; a Mint State Morgan weighs 412.5 grains. These differences cannot be measured in hand. The telltales in this instance, aside from the coin's origin in China are the lack of luster and the dark areas in the fields, typical of a lead casting.
