Here's a link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...78454129&ru=http://shop.ebay.com:80/%3F_from=R40&_trksid=p3984.m38.l1313&_nkw=120478454129&_sacat=See-All-Categories&_fvi=1&_rdc=1 The dollar is graded "genuine." So, there is a problem somewhere and the seller hasn't divulged it, unless I'm missing something. The bidders are all private.

I think it is a fake PCGS holder (chinese perhaps) look at the OTHER LISTINGS...an 1889CC that looks like a cameo BU would be worth 100K plus (even if there WERE grading problems)....the bid is 1625.00? Very suspicious

Gotta love these distance coin shots. Maybe it's like the slab says--"genuine", but why so standoffish about the details? So I just looked in my RB. Yeah, sure--"genuine".

WOW! I don't know what to think now...? I suppose you could send the coin to ANACS and at least get a grade with details? Maybe it just looks BU Cameo....tricky photography dunno. It IS a distanced photo and all his other adds show close ups photos of coins.

Just because it's a real PCGS # doesn't mean anything. They could have pulled the # off ebay, Heritage, or some other site. I'm not a Morgan expert, but there's something wonky about that one.

Certainly if I were spending that kind of money I would want to see better pics. Something just looks a bit off on the whole ordeal. I would rather spend my money elsewhere.

This throws up major red flags with me. Not only is the coin an outstanding cameo, but genuine by PCGS? What's the problem. The seller only has the 2 pics with no closeups of the coin! If I were selling a genuine coin of this beauty, I'd have at least 10 pictures for the potential high bidder.

In 35 years of collecting, I have never seen a cameo 1889CC like that coin. If this were legit he would have this coin for sale in a major auction because it would be a 6 figure sale price. He wouldn't have it on ebay with a 99 cent starting bid and no reserve. Looks just like a Chinese special.

Like I already said I am certain PCGS will be interested in that auction and will most probably buy the coin...and by the way, I called ebay @ 9AM today and reported this auction and they assured me that someone with numismatic knowledge would look at the auction....I wonder? ebay sucks sometimes
