Definitely an s, you can see how it curves. The seller probably knows this, IMO.

WOW. Just when you think you have seen it all. It is obviously a S the seller is just trying to cultivate more interest and bids. As you can see by the $2.50 bid the bidders agree.

The only 'D' associated with this coin is the grade the seller gets for his sales tactics.

I've dealt with the reality that this auction is real. However, I can't quite wrap my mind around someone actually bidding on it as anything more than an S. If it happens I may have to radically change my view of humanity. Seen it all indeed.

1916 Mercury dime WITH A D OR S. YOU CHOOSE.
Do you suppose the winning bidder gets their choice of a 16-S or 16-D?
Keep that 16-S and send me a 16-D please.

I've asked the seller if I bid can I pick the 1916-D since the one in the auction is obviously 1916-S. We'll see what he says.
