If you were really picky, you could buy high-grade slabbed 2009
Proof Cents, and break those out for your LN6 Set...

Of course, this approach would cost you a bit more!

I just figured that since PR69 Proof Lincoln Dollars seemed to have
no price premium over their OGP brethren (at least at the coin show
I was at), it seems like they would be good 'swap' candidates for
LN6 Sets.

PS: One dealer there even had the BR4 Braille Education Set in his case!

My Mom ended up surprising me, and scored me another Lincoln Chron. Set. But to my dismay, underneath the AM I noticed a bad/sharp scratch on one of the Cents (and upon glassing it......well.....UGHHH !) .......
So, though the rest of the Set, and "my" whole Set are of exceptional quality (luckily)......this "scratch" has been bugging me !
I was not going to order a lone Proof Cent Set, but, now I might have to, just to deal with this !
I don't enjoy the idea of crackin' this Set to replace this Cent, but, it really does (even with the naked eye) stand out like a sore thumb !
So, soon........gonna have to be ordering that Set......and I still need some Uncirculated Sets too so.....aaahhh well !

Even if I don't replace this "problem Cent" anytime soon......knowing that I "can" anytime I want, is very reassuring ! ....

I too have obtained some Lincoln Coin and Chronicles sets, and also found the "cents" to be less than perfect( much less ), for proof coins.

I would think if the set could be entered and no "foot-prints" are left, LOL, I would go for it.....

My set looks great and I am happy with the coins; no problems with any of them.

I'm not an E-bay person at all.......but I was curious to ask the question at this time..... (a month and a half out) ....... What is the L. C. & C. Set going for now ?
Is the price still holding around $130.00- $150.00 ?

My ebay search shows most of the recent ones in the $120~140 range with two in the $150's and two in the $160's. Most of them included free shipping, so knock a few dollars off for that.

you may want to order a few sets to be sure you get some good looking coins in your LCC set and send the ones back you don't want to the mint. I know dealers do this, they will buy a bunch of sets looking for 70's and the ones they know will not make that grade they ship back to the mint
