I wonder what kind of mastic is used to hold those things together. It looks like a pretty good idea but does anyone know if there's a potential problem. Personally I don't know but it was my first thought. I suppose I'm a bit leery given all the posts I see about coins getting messed up. If it works then you're onto something.

If they're just for bullion value, great idea. However if you are considering numismatic value, could these rolls cause toning, maybe ugly balck toning?

Temporary storage......I'd say grrrreaaat !

But "glue's" and "acid paper products" that these might contain....might not be good for these....
And they certainly aren't "airtight"......nor will they protect the coins from environmental gasses that can seep into even the best protection measures taken.

I see that you have the Bullion 2009 Eagle too there.... ....
I need to go pick that one up still since it's the only one we can get for this year ! ......

All the coins are in kointains...I worry about the coins "banging" into each other.

Are Direct Fit Air-Tites the same quality as Kointains?

It's funny that this subject came up because I've been contemplating the use of these for Ike dollars since the banks don't seem to have wrappers for them anymore.
