Are you sure everything is Unc.? Not saying it isn't but if everything is Unc, that could be a very valuable set. Many of those would have a lot of value in Unc, like the Liberty nickel, the Barber dime, the SLQ, Mercury, and some others. Edited by wheatguy

A friend of mine gave them to me. They were his grandfathers, and he knows nothing about coins. I got them for free.

Wow, that's nice of your friend. There seems to be some nice coins there. I like the toning on some of the coins you had in the pic. As for value, it really depends on condition, as those are mostly common dates, but the silver in some of the coins definitely helps the value.  |

Regardless of value it must be sweet to get some coins (especially some old ones) for free!

i too have one of those sets, I bought it from an old lady at a flea market, I dont know what the price for the whole set might be but I paid $20 and that seemed reasonale. I dont know about your sets but in mine all the silver coins have a beautyful tone to them.

mine is the silver one with the silver certificat $1, but mine also has a 1922 peace in it to, I bought mine in an avon store. I didnt think avon sold stuff like that, she also had the other ones that you have, I didnt buy them though, do all your silver coins have a tone to them, cause mine do and I remember the other ones did too.

WOW. Really nice coins for that price. As to total value it is difficult to tell for sure without seeing the coins. I noticed you apparently have all Philidelphia coins or do you not know where the Mint marks may be. It is odd that such a variety are all from the same mint but could be pending on where you live. If your really interested you should probably purchase a copy of the Red Book. If you do, remember that the prices shown are about 20% overstated. |

Now I wonder why all P mints were saved? Still a real nice start for a collection if you are going to use them all. And for that price, great.
