i have got to the most expensive coins in almost every album I havent completed, I was going to start a new album but cant decide any ideas, here is my list of completed and almost completed albums: 7070(need both Seated dollars) franklin Jefferson's v nickels(need 1885 and 1886) seated quarters(have 48 coins in it) Lincoln(09vdbs and 1922 plain) silver eagles I was thinking starting on Standing Liberty quarters or liberty halves I'm open to ideas thanks |

I would guess it depends on what you are thinknig about. Do you want something on the easier/quicker/cheaper side or do you want something that might take more time/effort/money? Are you looking for a challenge or something relatively easy. You could also go through one of your sets that you have completed awhile ago and upgrade some of the lesser quality coins. Let's hear what your thougths are and then some of the members here can offer some more precise ideas.

well I like the challenge in trying to complete hard types of coins so any set that is sorta hard but can also be completed without spending thousands of dollars on one coin.

I'm rather fond of dimes. I think you could put together a nice set of Merc.'s without spending too much. There are some expensive key dates but that's everywhere. I like Barber dimes as well but to do that in anything better than VG get pricey. |

I love the SLQs myself. A set of those would be quite impressive.
If you can afford that, I'd be all over it. Otherwise, the Merc
dimes would make a good second choice IMO. Either of those in a
full set would make many collectors green with envy.

You've done some nice collections already, 28 Seated 25c huh? that's great. As was said, Walkers would be a cool set to do but so would Merc's Peace dollars,SLQ be great sets to start. You could do a Walker or Merc. short set in high grades too. Tony |

i think I going to start on SLQ's one of the guys at my local coin club sold me a library of coins album for SLQs for really cheap so I might as well try Quote:

most of the Seated quarters are in low grade(fillers). I hope my SLQ come out nice if I can ever the 1916 |

WHAT? YOU DON'T HAVE A Mercury dime COLLECTION? Or did you forget to mention them? Usually most people that collect coins have one coin of each denomination in their collection. B that I mean a Penny (cent) Album, Nickel, Dime, Quarter, Half Dollar and full Dollar of some type or other. No Indian/Buffalo Nickels? That is odd too. You have Jefferson and V nickels and no Buffalo nickels? No Indian Head cents either? I'm not sure your system is an easy one to suggest what to do next. If you want my suggestion it is to go for Mercury dimes. Not always true but most people I know that collect coins usually run in a series of one type of all similar types. By that I mean a person that collects Modern Cents will usually also collect the same with Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, etc. If into older types like Indian Head cents, they usually also go for the Buffalo nickels, V nickels, etc. Sort of like the old saying Birds of a feather, stick together. |

i really havent got into the Mercury dimes yet, I have at least two rolls of them but all I've done with them so far is just look for the key date in them, I have two key date Indian pennies and tons of common dates and havent really got into them either. As for the buffalo's I have a few of them only because I traded a ton to a local guy for two rolls of Barber quarter, it seemed like a far trade. |

I really like copper coins so my suggestion is to now work backwards on your cent collection. Depending on what condition you are looking for, you can get the last 30 years (except the S mints) for a couple of bucks each. If you look on ebay I would suggest buying the lots of Large Cents because you can then pick them up pretty cheap. |
