I've found a few like this where the devices are cut. Are they common ?

I've found a few like that too! I found one a couple of weeks ago that quite a bit more of the Liberty and date were gone. It was an older coin(80's I think) and showed some wear. I'm interested how much of a premium a mad might have.

Have'nt seen it on any five cent, but seen on ten cents. /But, not quite as much as this nickel. Groovy!

Nice find and it's in pretty good condition,Heres one I found about 10 years ago.It's worn down but I like it

I would keep it. It only cost you a nickel. If you found a OBW roll with several in them, you might sell some. In that condition they would be worth a modest premium. It shows your eyes are looking for what is out there on coinage. Nice find.

Is it just by chance that "Liberty" on all three are affected by the offset or something more?.Is this a common place for the Nickle to be affected?
