I dont post often, but enjoy reading when one of the members finds something interesting through roll searching or circulation. I thought I would share this. I was at a local club for a machine bowling league. I asked the bartender for a roll of quarters for the league. My wife opened them up and called me back because "something did not look right". This is what was in the roll. 1954 D 1936 1958 D 1944 1945 1957 D 1942 1958 D Standing Liberty quarter (unknown year or mint) I will try to get a couple of picture up Mike

I did some checking and I dont think they are worth more than the value of silver. I think I will fill a couple slots in my books. the standing liberty has three stars under the eagle and an "M" is visible on the other side.

Thanks guys,
I am going to stop by the club after work and ask the bar manager if he has any more rolls in the back office. The wrapper was a bright orange. Cant hurt to take a look. I will let you know if I hit the jackpot. I can upload some pictures tonight.

Great find! A Silver quarter find nowadays is pretty scarce...much less 9 at one time! My father used to work for a company that placed pool tables, pinballs and bowlers (as well as gambling devices) in bars from the late fifties through the late nineties and pulled alot of silver from the machines. I would definately check and see if there were any more of those rolls to be had.

well I had the bar manager check the safe for any more rolls wrapped with the same paper. No Luck :( He was going back to the bank tomorrow and was going to ask the teller if they had any more of the same type of roll. He is a collector to and said he would split any thing he found (since I gave him the tip). I will let you guys know tomorrow.
