Just found this afternoon roll searching.

A nice obverse " Cud" on this 1982P Copper LMC.

It hasn't been in circulation long at all. Notice the high point details have almost no wear on them at all. This coin has spent most of the past 27 years sitting in a jar somewhere and only come back out recently.

Well, true and not true...

It has probably been out there waiting to be found since 1982...but since MOST people just toss pennies into jars or cash them in to the banks where they sit for years, it just probably hasn't been "found" yet.

Notice how most memorial cents aren't worn below VF? Notice also how most earlier Lincoln cents (pre-1940) are worn to a frazzle? Aign of the times - worthless coins, nobody bothers to carry them around.
