I was surprised to see the mahogany table color reflected onto the pic subject itself. Ordinary 2pm afternoon bright sunlight and outside location as setting for the pic.

This has happened before with the blue sky color reflected but not with the table color itself. How does it happen?

The colour of the table could be reflecting off the lens of the camera.

thanks steve, just a day after posting this post, I had a talk with a camera specializing friend and asked the same thing. Your right, it was light reflection, turned out I was wearing a shirt of pure white when I took the picture bending forward, the light from the table reflected off my shirt.

thanks too for the reply and comment

Nic, I have had the same problem. I was wearing a red shirt and the light was reflecting off the shirt and back onto the coin and making the coin appear reddish.
