Never ceases to amaze me that people don't take the time to "proof read" their ads.

"Holders are not pictured due to increaded memory required" What kind of excuse is that?

Not only did they get the picture and description wrong, they listed it in the gold 2.50 category. Seems like they're not very conscientous. I don't think I'd want to spend that kind of money with these people.

Crew, Got a pleasant e-mail from the seller of item mentioned above! Mike Thank you for letting us know. We are working with ebay to resolve the issue. That isn't the only listing that has been randomly co-opted by the Washington quarter! Sincerely, Caroline Beals John B. I reported this picture error to the seller, but the auction has not changed it yet. This would be the most expensive 1945-S Washington quarter on record!!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...keTrack=true
Oops. But I can see how this would happen. I was up until midnight last night trying to get my nine auctions listed with a start date of this morning. Long day, no nap, so I was a little fuzzy. I don't know how many times I had to go back to correct something and I kept forgetting to change the categories. Finally got them all uploaded, but I made a note to myself to recheck them this morning. Sure 'nough, there were listing errors of omission and commission. Fortunately, I had set the start times for later in the morning so I had the time to go back and correct my mistakes

Hi Fred, Feel free to put a link in the BST section- even though I'd only be window shopping, I like to see what my BBS compadres have for sale. Don PS I know the feeling. I faxed a letter of recommendation last week for one of my advisees, and on rereading, found a mistake which "word" lets one make. I corrected it and faxed new version, only to discover I'd somehow gotten the date column on the header off by 1 space- still don't know how that happened! Not a biggie, but I can imagine the reader wondering about those "academic types"

Don, just goes to show even we professionals and academics are subject to minor errors caused by The Blahs (or whatever). Of course, we have the wisdom and perspecacity to acknowledge and rectify our little boo-boos. Based on your request and dozens of others from my many admirers, (OK, OK, both of them) I posted a link to my current auctions in the B/S/T section. Without seeming to be overly promotional, I'd like to draw attention to the 1879-S PCGS MS-66, a stunner! I need to build up my cash resources to further update my Carson City PCGS Registry set. Fred
