Jprine, what part of the country are you in? I'm in western NC and the Brinks plastic wrapped rolls have been really good here lately. I try to get boxes but I'll take what I can get. This past week alone I've probably found 15 War Nickels (6 yesterday out of 200 rolls), 8 Buffalo (3 yesterday including a vg 1913 type2) and a 1911 Liberty. I've only found 1 Buffalo in customer wrapped rolls and none in String rolls. I've been searching Brinks heavily while the gettings are good!

I find a ton more Buffs then Mercs, if you call about .4 Buffs per box a ton. Mercs usually about 1 merc per 15 silver dimes in the midwest, and about 1 silver dime per $250.00

Usually find a buffalo in every 2 boxes I do. War Nickels usually are 1 per box, been slow on those lately. I dont do dimes much, too small to look at dates. Hate rim searching because I know I miss a lot. I have found 2 rosies in 1 box ($250) and 1 bag (1k) since I started. Really glad my father gave me his dime collection, I dont have to find too many mercs to complete it...

I am able to offer some current nickel searching data to this discussion .......

Over the previous 18 months I have searched 130,000 circulated nickels from rolls (that's 3250 rolls so far) and have kept detailed records of my finds .......

I have found two (2) Liberty V ..... so on average I find 1 every 1625 rolls.

I have found eighteen (18) Buffalo .... so on average I find 1 every 180.6 rolls.

I have found thirty nine (39) War Silver ..... so on average I find one every 83.3 rolls.
