I have friends that have the ACE 250, and have played around with it on the beaches. My own machines are whites.
The Ace 250 is a very good metal detector. It is set up to hunt for coins and jewelry, with a couple different features to help identify those objects.

From reading on the CSI 250 it seems to be designed for police department use. It does not talk about being set up for coins and jewelry. It states that it is set up to find items at crime scenes. I am sure they would both find coins and jewelry but the CSI may not use have the same coin ID and tone ID that the ACE 250 has

If you are going to hunt for coins and these were your choices I would go with the Ace 250.
