It's not BU or a 43/2 but it's a lot better than the worn, blackish War Nickels I have found before. It even has some luster and signs of a few steps. Anyway, I'm not throwing it back.

thats definitely a keeper, the only one I have from metal detecting is chipped and everything good job.

Very nice find! I've found 54 War Nickels since I started roll searching and this by far exceeds any I've found, congrats!

very nice, bet your eyes almost popped out of your head. that little shock you get with a good find is one of the funnest parts of roll searching.

I agree, you don't find them like that very often roll searching. I found 2 today, both very dark and the better of the 2 doesn't come even close to that one!

looks low AU to me, I see some wear on the head and nothing to bad on the reverse
