The luster is very flat. Is there a chance this is not authentic?

(Just asking... Don't shoot me!)

It appears to still have some breast feather detail which would normally mean an AU coin. However, as Moe points out the surfaces look dull. The obverse even looks a bit granular in places. I don't see any design issues that would suggest it is a fake, but it might have a trace of "environmental damage". If the weight is normal (say, 26.4 grams minimum) I would be satisfied about authenticity. However, if I wanted this date for my collection (rather than just for accumulation) I'd look for an example with better eye appeal.

The Coin does have luster... however, I do not know why it appears to have no luster in this picture...
