Showed the set posted here earlier to a local dealer. She offered $310.00 right there. Does this sound fair? Should I take it? I mean is it worth it? I appreciate some advice.

I think she was very generous, I would expect a dealer to offer about maybe $120-$150. It definitely is your choice if you want to sell them, but $310 was pretty high.

I just wonder if I were to go back and firm up the deal if the numbers would change? If memory serves me were you interested in them? I would rather see them go to somebody here than to a dealer. If so make me an offer as we are pretty serious about selling them. If you are not that is fine also, but we appreciate the feedback.

Just remember that to do trading on this forum with other members you need to do it with 50 quality posts and it should be done in the Buy Sell Trade section of the Forum. I only say this to protect the integrity of the forum and would not want to see us lose the privilege of having a venue like this to use.

is a good point sometimes when a conversation just progresses naturally one forgets about the exact rules. If anything is done I will definitely suggest the move to the buy sell trade section or exchange of personal information. Thank you for the reminder it is greatly appreciate as this site is invaluable for gathering quality information!

Well I was definitely interested in them, but I just made some pretty big SLQ purchases and I don't have too much spending money left. If you go to the WTB forum you can see my thread. Later I'd definitely be interested in them though, although I probably wouldn't be able to pay as much as the dealer offered you. I might be able to buy a couple, depending on the price. The BST would be a good option, and then if they don't sell maybe you could go back to the dealer. I'd be very surprised if they give you the $310. And like Wheezy said, congrats on 50 posts.

Well thank you everybody on the congratulations for the post milestone! I didn't even realize that fact last night before I signed off to hit the rack. As for the coins I am going to head back down today and put the deal to her and if she is still close to that number I am going to tell her I have to think about selling them or not. As I noted earlier, because of my past experiences with dealers, I never cared to buy or sell from or to them. We are located just outside of a small town called Erie Pennsylvania and I am going to do some investigation into the Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Buffalo area for a good, fair reputable dealer. And yes we are buried in snow! We live in the snow belt area 14 inches yesterday looks like about 12 inches overnight and they are calling for another 12 to 18 inches for today. What a thrill(sarcasm)!

We are in no hurry to sell anything we own and these coins are no different.

Wheatguy, I would be interested in seeing some of the pics of your new acquisitions, this may be a segment
that my wife and I may looked to complete.

God bless and I hope I have followed the rules (close enough)and have not ticked anyone off!(yet)

Seems like a good idea, a set of the SLQ's would be worthwhile and a big accomplishment. The SLQ's I bought haven't arrived yet, but they should in at least a week. I'll post a pic of the entire album when they arrive, but currently I have 18 out of the 37 coins needed to complete the set, so I'm about halfway done. You already have a nice start, so it would be nice if you completed the set.
