I have a 1904-O Morgan dollar graded MS 62 by ANACS I bought recently. I am not really into VAM'S but I always like to check them over and look at attribution sites because you never know what you might find. I think this might be the VAM-28A "Trigger" VAM. I would like all of your opinions. My closeup pictures are lousy and this dollar is nicked up pretty bad, but here goes nothing.
I couldn't get a good enough picture of the Die polishing line below the L and A on the rev. or the Doubled rev. legend, based on what I have given you, I hope someone can give me an opinion. Thanks for your time. David
Looks like a winner to me. The clashes on this coin are a bit "off" the normal location, the result of a rotated die, making the attribution fairly easy. It's about as strong a "G" clash as you'll ever see. Can you see the line below LA? That would nail it, as if it were necessary.
It doesn't look to carry any premium. I only found two recent Heritage auction results - a 66DMPL and a 63 - both went for about the expected price. This one's a "hold and wait for the market to come to you" coin.
