Hi all, what would you grade this 1890cc Morgan? picked it up off ebay for £35 (about $55-$60 I think?)

Could it also be a VAM 4 (top 100) due to the tailbar die gouge

IMO VG-8; no idea about the VAM attribution though. I'm sure one the experts will be around soon.

Heh. VAM-4 is one VAM which announces its' presence in no uncertain terms. The date location and mint mark configuration agree with the attribution. These are not uncommon, the finest-known being two MS65's, but they are extremely popular with collectors and quite liquid as a result. Great cherrypick and a well-bought VAM-4 at the price.

The reverse brings this coin up to VG-10.
