I wanted to get some suggestions for displaying some of my coins. I have been collecting proof halves and quarters and have been putting them into round airtites. I would like to keep them in the airtites but would like to display them in a album or binder some way. I know I have seen some people on here with different set ups using the airtites and I know they make a album with holes that fits airtites. Any suggestions are appreciated and pics of your set up is really appreciated to give me an idea of how it will look once I have it worked out. Thanks

I keep my silver eagles in Airtites stored in an Eagle 2x2 album. The album pages have recessed spaces for the Airtites with a plastic strap over the front to secure them. The coins are all secure and do not rotate in their spaces. When empty, the album feels flimsy but when full, the album looks great and feels solid. The binder itself is a faux leather with a space on the spine for a label. See the photo below. I was very pleased with the results despite the fact that the products were not meant to be used together.

I ordered a coin case similar to dollarcoins. I plan on putting commemorative coins and silver eagles. The case came this week but had the wrong trays. They shipped out the correct tray today. I will post some pics when they come in.

Super display cases are really nice but pending on where you live, might well be a waste of money. Not if it's just yourself you want to impress or like the looks of, but in almost any area of this country, displaying money of any kind is just not smart. It used to be only in large cities where crime ran ranpant, but with todays unimployment, lost wages, etc, many so called safe areas are now also not to safe.
Displaying anything monitarily will eventually be noted by way to many of the wrong types of people.
Nice display items but they do take up room in a safe deposit box or hiding place around the home.

I bought everything from Brent-Krueger. The album I bought comes with 2 pages but looks like it can hold up to 4. Item number is EGL-HAU02.

The airtites are ring type which are 2" in diameter with a foam ring supporting the coin. For the Eagles, I have item AT-I40.

I concur with Just Carl.

IMO not a good idea to display a collection in a residential home. Eventually someone of the wrong caliber may take notice or hear about it...

IMO even keeping/storing a collection in a residential setting is a bad idea, for insurance reasons and for security reasons.

I think photos in lieu are better, as well as attainment of safety deposit boxes and a good insurance rider.
