i will try and post pics tomorrow around 5:00pm but let me describe it to you..

the reverse is normal with light wear, but on the obverse I guess it was struck weakly because you can barely make out Jeffersons portrait but after some time I finally could read the date and mint mark its a 2000p, its almost mirror like but there is a faint portrait am I correct is this just a weak strike> if anyone know about this could you post a value?

A weak strike would be weak on both sides. A couple possibilities of what you may have are a coin Struck Through Grease or struck through a capped die but it cannot be determined for certain without pics.

The difference between a weak strike and grease filled strike is evident on the outside edge of the die. a trial strike leaves no edges on the outside edge of the die. Grease Fill dies will show that mark. The grease filled strike has the edge of the die present next to the rim.

Here is an example of a capped die. Note the only side affected is the obverse. The reverse is normal.

So an image will help to see what you have. Don't spend it. You will kick yourself for a long time if you don't!

It'll take images of this one to tell much of anything, unfortunately.

Look at the help in your scanning software for "crop", then crop the coin from the rest of the scanner bed.
