Wow! What a great idea. Selling pocket change for 99c + $1.61 shipping-each. I checked his feedback(1100+ all positive). He has varieties I don't know about. What is a 1946 S VDB # 14 cent? Or a 1954S VDB #16 cent? All kinds of weird stuff like that. The buyers seemed to like them. I dunno.
Rest in Peace

Forgot to answer your question jasper62. As far as I know he has to pay a listing fee for each coin whether it sells or not.

Looks like someone broke up a small US collection and listed every coin separate.

His customers are probably people looking to fill spaces in their Whitmans'...

I'm not sure this guy intends on defrauding anyone, nor does he do this as a joke. There's way too much work put into that for it to be a joke.

Evidently there's a market out there for lower grade modern coins that can be found in change - IN the United States. Remember that there are a BUNCH of beginner collectors and foreign collectors who haven't had the time, energy, or availability to search through American pocket change and find such coins, so it's just easier to buy them for a buck online.

Something additional - depending on how they are shipped, shipping cost could be $1.61 or even higher. I doubt the purpose of this is to profit from the shipping either.

Looks to me to be a legitimate operation with someone selling very common coins to people who don't want to or cannot look for them themselves.
