I tend to agree with you, but part of me says, "those ebay photos... you can never really tell." It's hard to capture luster, but the surface is not very smooth. And I would think that seller has some experience taking some good photos.

You gotta be looney to buy a coin at that level without it being certified, and even then caution! Lots of fake slabs out there. Too bad.

Judging from the quality of the polishing on this coin, the guy could make a good living as a car detailer if the coin biz falls through.

I agree with the polishing, this thing has definitely been spit shined. I have no comment on authentication because I am no expert on the series but I would atleast expect to see a ANACS holder for any key coin problem coin or not just for authentication to prove it is real

It looks too good to be true. And you all know what that means... (It's probably is too good to be true!)I would be VERY reluctant to buy this coin (particularly at this amount of cash) without verification. And I need more than the seller's word! So I give this auction a

Private listings, no returns because its a 'TRUE AUCTION' or something, and poor pictures pretty much mean what other people are saying - this guy is dishonest.

I cant see why someone would spend more then about $300 without having it graded. I believe it has been polished just because all the high points are nice and shiny but in between the letters on the reverse the planchet is dull. Just my opinion

Bidding is currently at $6,577.00  Let's see what details can be resolved from those pics:  Finding struck surfaces is like playing "Where's Waldo"  Anyone wanna bet the full bands are tooled?
