Hi I have a 1952 D... D over D nickel. I don't have a Cherry Pickers Guide and can't find anything on the net about this variety. Could it be a new variety or a common one?

Worth sending into pCGS for variety grading. Its a gorgeous coin MS65.

Thanks...

I agree...repunched mintmarks are a VERY die to die thing, and without a picture of the mintmark, it's useless and hopeless trying to help.

Sorry my Camera will not get a macro of that mintmark. I'm waiting on a 15X magnify glass to come in. Until then I can show you this...you can see the mintmark is D/D if you click enlarge.

Sorry, not even close to enough magnification to tell anything at all about the mintmark. It has to be MUCH larger to see anything definitive.
