Prosperity-Souvenir---California

I have this token where the obverse has a modified California State Seal (with the addition or a cornucopia). The legend at the top is "PROSPERITY SOUVENIR." The reverse has a horseshoe and four-leaf clover surrounded by the legend "LUCKY POCKET PIECE." The token is bronze or copper, measures 32.2 mm and weighs 10.52 grams. I assume this is from an earlier era (perhaps FDR 1932?) since California's economy is in shambles and no mere lucky piece will restore it! Anyone have any info on who, what, when, and where?

Thanks

Phil

I like that one!
It does have the look of pre-WWII, before copper was being directed towards the war effort.
The cornucopia and orchard in the background suggests pre-industrialized California.

Looks to me like @numis (or a later owner) has uploaded this piece to tokencatalog:

Well done.

Nice token - but how can it be lucky with the horseshoe being upside down and having all the luck run out?

It drains into the souvenir piece and is recirculated into the horseshoe image as it bounces around in you pocket.
