Looks like some kinda award medal made of aluminum that is severely corroded. Better pics might help.

Looks a lot like Thai script on the non-portrait side. If that's really from Thailand I'd be surprised if it could be identified with this much corrosion unless we can find a native speaker of Thai here.

@tab, thx for posting a new picture. With my google translate ap, I'm getting something like "in the procession of his majesty" on one of the lines and the month of April in another one. I wonder if this token/medal has to do with the Thai New Year celebrations typically held in April?
